Hallo, ich bin Tim. 21 Jahre alt, Auszubildender Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration am Niederrhein. Tagsüber kümmere ich mich um WLAN, Serverräume, Arbeitsplätze und Menschen, deren Drucker „einfach nichts mehr macht“. Abends geht das gleiche Hobby freiwillig weiter: Homelab, Smart Home, 3D-Drucker, Kamera, Klavier.

Diese Seite sieht absichtlich aus wie das Internet um 2007: Hochglanz, Wolken, Wasserblasen. Damals wusste Software noch, dass sie schön sein darf. Alles hier ist von Hand gebaut — Claude war dabei meine dritte Hand.
This page looks like the internet did around 2007 on purpose: gloss, clouds, water bubbles. Back then software still knew it was allowed to be pretty. All of it was built by hand — with Claude as my third one.
Geboren 2005 in der Slowakei, aufgewachsen am Niederrhein, mit einem Stück Technologie im Herzen. Früher war ich hauptsächlich mit virtuellen Pinseln und Buchstabenstrichen unterwegs — Layout, Foto, Video. Inzwischen fühle ich mich in Serverräumen und Netzwerkschränken genauso zu Hause. Die Kombination ist praktisch: Ich kann ein VLAN einrichten und hinterher erklären, warum das Ergebnis auch noch gut aussehen darf.

These days I’m just as at home in server rooms and network cabinets. Handy combination: I can configure a VLAN and then argue why the result is allowed to look good, too.
Nebenbei: Hobbypianist und Akkordeonspieler, ehrenamtlicher Technik-Notdienst für die halbe Nachbarschaft — und jemand, der Dinge lieber repariert als ersetzt. Wenn irgendwo etwas klappert, surrt oder gar nicht mehr angeht, bin ich schon unterwegs.

My homelab: a Proxmox node with a ZFS pool, hosting a Docker machine running roughly everything nobody needs and everybody uses daily — photo archive, document management, backups, smart home, monitoring, dashboards. Alerts included, for when a disk starts complaining. This page runs on it.

Mein Lieblingsteil an der ganzen Sache: etwas aufmachen, verstehen und wieder zum Laufen bringen. Laptops, Netzteile, Fahrräder, Haushaltsgeräte, mein Audi A2 — und regelmäßig Technik aus der Nachbarschaft, die eigentlich schon auf dem Weg zum Wertstoffhof war. Ersatzteile kommen notfalls aus dem 3D-Drucker.
My favourite part of all this: opening something up, understanding it and getting it running again. Laptops, power supplies, bicycles, household appliances, my Audi A2 — and a steady stream of neighbourhood electronics that were already halfway to the recycling centre. Spare parts come out of the 3D printer when they have to.
